Dental Veneers in Plano Texas

Dental Veneer

Veneers are thin porcelain facing that is bonded to teeth to improve contour and color. Veneers are great for minor changes in color, alignment, and shape of teeth. Chips and small gaps are easily corrected with veneers.

After you are numb, we will very minimally prepare the teeth for veneers. An impression is done and will be sent to the lab to make the permanent veneers. We will make and deliver a temporary set of veneers to protect the teeth while our lab creates the final product. Once the permanent veneers are ready, Dr. Bellingham will bond them to your teeth.

Just like any dental restoration, regular effective brushing and flossing will help keep them in good shape. While veneers are stain-resistant, we recommend that you avoid coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco to maintain the beauty of your new smile.

Veneers are a useful cosmetic treatment, but they’re not right for everyone. They are not suitable for large changes in color, shape, or alignment of teeth. They are also not suitable for patients with bite issues or people who grind or clench.

Ask Dr. Bellingham if veneers are a good option for your smile during your next visit to our Plano dental office.
